machine translation >
Maschine Translation (MT) means that texts are translated by adaptive computer programs. As the demand for translations doubles every four years but the number of translators remains static, MT is becoming increasingly important.
In this category I will talk about my experiences with MT on a regular basis, show you examples and invite you to provide your own texts to put the benefits of Machine Translation to the test. I believe that simple technical instructions can nowadays be translated by software programs and that people will sufficiently understand the meaning, after human translators have corrected the gravest mistakes. Almost fully automatic translations would save customers an immense amount of time and costs, of course. So stay on track!
